Imperial College of London Royal School of Mines Micropalaeontological Collection

This dataset provides a drawer level listing of the Imperial College Royal School of Mines microfossil collection of mainly Foraminifera collected by Dr David Carter. It was compiled by Jonathan Whittaker and includes information about collections from 89 different countries worldwide. Significant collections include material from the Channel Tunnel investigations in the English Channel and for the Thames Barrier in the Thames Estuary. Column headers provide details of David Carter's own numbering system as well as location of collection details. Most slides are assemblage material but some are thin sections. Stratigraphic information is available via an associated card index.
