| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) and Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- A junior homonym of Epipyrops Bowring, 1852, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. (2) 2 (Proc.): 5, - Lepid., Epipyropidae. There is no objective replacement name but E. anomala Westwood, 1876, and E. anomala Bowring, 1852, although not objective synonyms based on the same type-specimen are certainly conspecific. Epipyrops Bowring, 1852, is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name. |
