| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- A junior homonym of Eupolia Hubrecht, 1887, Rep. Challenger Exped. (Zool.) 19 (54): 10, -Vermes. There is no objective replacement name but E. licentiosa is a junior subjective synonym of Trichopolia dentatella Grote, 1883, the type-species of Trichopolia Grote, 1883. The latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. See: TRICHOPOLIA Grote, 1883. Poole (1989) included EUPOLIA Smith, 1894 (preoccupied) as a junior synonym of TRICHOPOLIA Grote, 1883. |
