| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Warren cited as type-species Phalaena extimalis Scopoli, 1763, a nominal species not originally included in Evergestis. At the same time however, Warren placed extimalis as a senior synonym of `margaritalis, Hüb. Verz. p.354', a nominal species originally included in Evergestis. Under the Code, Article 69(a)(iv), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as type-species. See also: Euergestis Rebel, 1906; Pionea Guenée, [1845]. Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats EVERGESTIS in the CRAMBIDAE: EVERGESTINAE. |
