Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- The authorship of the type-species was attributed by Stephens and by Westwood to Linnaeus. A junior homonym of Harpagus Vigors, 1824, Zool. J. Lond. 1: 327, - Aves. There is no objective replacement name but Syncopacma Meyrick, 1925, was placed as a subjective synonym of, and used as a subsequent replacement name for Harpagus Stephens, 1834, Sattler, 1973, Bull. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. (Ent.) 28: 207.
