Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- A junior homonym of Hemerophila Hübner, [1817] 1806, Samml. exot. Schmett. 1: pl.[213] - Lepid. Glyphipterigidae. The objective replacement name is Menophra Moore, [1887]. Hemerophila was again proposed by Stephens, 1829 [July], Syst. Cat. Br. Insects (2): 125; and 1831, Illust. Br. Ent. (Haustellata) 3: 189. See: MENOPHRA Moore, [1887] 1884-7. Parsons et al. (1999) included CERUNCINA Wehrli, 1941; EPHEMEROPHILA Warren, 1894; HEMEROPHILA Stephens, 1829; LEPTODONTOPERA Warren, 1894; and MALACUNCINA Wehrli, 1941 as junior synonyms of MENOPHRA Moore, 1887.
