| Memo: | Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Amphixystis was included in the "Lyonetiadae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 12; it is placed in the Tineidae on the advice of our colleague Dr G.S. Robinson. AMPHIXYSTIS was included within the subfamily TINEIDAE: HIEROXESTINAE by Davis & Robinson, in Kristensen (1999). Robinson (2001) included the type-species of COELIOMETOPA Turner, 1923; GEPHYRISTIS Meyrick, 1909; MACHIMOSTOLA Meyrick, 1928; PROBLASTODES Meyrick, 1928; and SPORADARTHRA Meyrick, 1911 in the genus AMPHIXYSTIS Meyrick, 1901. Robinson (2001) included 67 species in the genus. |
