| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- A junior objective synonym of Erannis Hübner, [1825]. The earlier use of the generic name, * Lampetia Meigen, 1800, Nouv. Class. Mouches Deux Ailes: 34 - Diptera, was included in a work rejected for nomenclatural purposes by Int. Commn zool. Nom., 1963, Bull. zool. Nom. 20: Opinion 678: the name was not used again prior to the publication of Lampetia Stephens, 1827. Lampetia was again proposed by Stephens, 1829 [June], Nom. Br. Insects: 43; and 1829 [July], Syst. Cat. Br. Insects (2): 116. See: ERANNIS Hübner, [1825] 1816. Parsons et al. (1999) included CHIMADIA Speyer, 1839; HYBERNIA Berthold, 1827; LAMPETIA Stephens, 1827; and THRIPTERA Gistl, 1848 as junior synonyms of ERANNIS Hübner, 1825. |
