Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- This genus was included by Hering, 1926, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 14: 124 in the Pterothysanidae, but was restored to the Lymantriidae, in which family it was originally proposed, by Collenette, 1955, Trans. R. ent. Soc. Lond. 107: 191. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Lepidopalpus was established in the Lymantriidae; it was placed in the Pterothysanidae by Hering, 1926, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 14: 124; and was restored to the Lymantriidae by Collenette, 1955, Trans. R. ent. Soc. Lond. 107: 191.
