Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- An Incorrect Subsequent Spelling of Leptidea Billberg, 1820. Owing to the rarity of Billberg's book, combined with the great prestige of Scudder, the misspelling Leptidia was formerly in wide use. Leptidia was proposed as an emendation of Leptidea by Steyskal, 1972, The Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature, 29 (1) : [p??]. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
