Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- Proposed, unnecessarily, as the objective replacement name for * Pinacia Walker, 1859, which Swinhoe considered to be preoccupied by Pinacia Hübner, [1831]. These names are not homonyms as Walker was merely using, correctly, Hübner's name. Mixtila is a junior obiective synonym of Pinacia Hübner, [1831]. See: PINACIA Hübner, [1831] 1825. Poole (1989) included OSERICANA Walker, 1866; and MIXTILA Swinhoe, 1900 as junior synonyms of PINACIA |
