Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Nyctosia Schaus, 1899, - Lepid., Lithosiidae. There is no objective replacement name but the type-species of Nyctosia Hampson, 1900, is currently considered to be congeneric with the type-species of Nyctosia Schaus, 1899. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name.
