(1999) included ACAENA Treitschke, 1825; ENERGOPTERYX Thierry-Mieg, 1903; EUCTENURAPTERYX Warren, 1894; PHRUDURA Swinhoe, 1906; URAPTERA Billberg, 1820; and UROPTERYX Aggasiz, 1847 as junior synonyms of OURAPTERYX Leach, 1814. Parsons et al. (1999) included 75 species and 13 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus OURAPTERYX. Ourapteryx is tribe Ourapterygini (pers. comm. Peter Roelofs).
