Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- A junior homonym of Pachygonia Huxley, 1865, Mem. geol. Surv. India Palaeont. indica (4) 1 (1): 4, 6, - Fossil Amphibia. The objective replacement name is Pachygonidia Fletcher nom. n. [1982]. Pachygonia caliginosa was a Felder manuscript name that was made available by Boisduval, 1870, ibidem: 66, in the combination Perigonia caliginosa, which Boisduval attributed to Felder, citing Felder's plate 75. Some of Felder's Heterocera plates together with their legends were evidently circulated privately to contemporary lepidopterists before they were published in the Reise Novara (See Fletcher, 1979, in Nye 3: xi). Kitching & Cadiou (2000) list PACHYGONIA Felder, 1874 as a junior name of PACHYGONIDIA Fletcher, 1982.
