Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Pachylia was a Boisduval manuscript name that was made available by Walker. Boisduval, 1870, Considérations Lépid. Guatemala: 72, and [1875] 1874, Hist. nat. Insectes (Spec. gén. Lépid. Hétérocères) 1: 134, attributed to himself the authorship of Pachylia Walker, 1856. Kitching & Cadiou (2000) list PACHYLIA Lucas, 1857 as a junior name of PACHYLIA Walker, 1856.
