Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- When originally proposed, this genus contained a second species, doubtfully included; under Article 67(h) of the Code, a doubtfully included species is not eligible for selection as type-species. This genus was originally proposed in the Noctuidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae; I have not found any published reference to this transfer. Parsons et al. (1999) included NYCTILAMPES Goldfinch, 1944 as a junior synonym of PALLEOPA Walker, 1866 [August 4]. Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus PALLEOPA.
