Memo: Cowan (1970: 53) stated:- PARANTICOPSIS line 2 : "monotypy" to read - designation by Talbot, 1939 (Fauna Br. India Butts. (ed. 2) 1 : 200). There were two originally included species in this genus, the other being Papilio xenocles Doubleday, 1842 (in Gray) Zool. Misc. : 74. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
