| Memo: | Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- P. confinis is a junior subjective synonym of Tepilia biluna Walker, 1855, the type-species of Tepilia Walker, 1855. Phecada when established contained a second moninal species, but this was doubtfully included and, under the Code. Article 68(c), is not eligable for fixation as type-species. Phecada was established in the Notodontidae; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Helerocera 1: 851; and its type-species was placed in the Lymantriidae by Schaus, 1927, in Seitz. Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 557. See also: Tepilia Walker, 1855. TEPILIA was included within the subfamily BOMBYCIDAE: PHIDITIINAE by Lemaire & Minet, in Kristensen (1999). |
