Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Available but without included species until Walker, 1862, ibidem 24: 1088. Fletcher (1979, Generic Names of Moths of the World) stated:- This genus was originally proposed in the Geometridae, but has since been transferred to the Noctuidae, where it was included by Swinhoe, 1900, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ. Mus. 2: 75. Poole (1989) included PHILECIA Walker, 1861 as a junior synonym of HOMODES Guenée, 1852.
