Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Philotherma was established in the Bombycidae; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 816. PHILOTHERMA was included within the subfamily LASIOCAMPIDAE: LASIOCAMPINAE by Lemaire & Minet, in Kristensen (1999).
