Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) included PROCHOLA in the family AGONOXENIDAE, treated by Hodges, in Kristensen (1999) as a subfamily of ELACHISTIDAE. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Prochola was included in the "Cosmopterygidae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 184; and in the Agonoxenidae by Becker, 1984, in Heppner, Atlas neotrop. Lepid. 2 (Checklist 1): 43. Prochola Meyrick, 1915 (the date was given as 1929 not 1915 by Hodges in Zoo. Rec., 1997 - Lepidoptera, Elachistidae) was treated in the Agonoxenidae by Nye and Fletcher, 1991 Generic Names Moths World, 6 : 250. Prochola has been subsequently transferred from the Agonoxeninae (Elachistidae) to the Chrysopeleiinae (Cosmopterigidae) by Hodges, 1997, Proceedings of the Entomological Society of Washington 99 (2) : 272.
