Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Ochsenheimer, 1810, ibidem 3: 239-298 divided the genus Gastropacha, which he had proposed on page 239, into five sections, A-E; section E was further divided into three subsections, alpha, beta and gamma; subsection gamma included the four species, Gastropacha loti Ochsenheimer, 1810, Bombyx franconica [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, Phalaena castrensis Linnaeus, 1758 and Phalaena neustria Linnaeus, 1758. In a review of Ochsenheimer's third volume, R.L. in 1817 proposed the generic name Psilogaster for these four species.
