Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- P. sexalisata is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena sexalata Retzius, 1783, Genera Species Insect.: 50. Parsons et al. (1999) included AMATHIA Duponchel, 1829; and MYSTICOPTERA Meyrick, 1892 as junior synonyms of PTERAPHERAPTERYX Curtis, 1825. Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus PTERAPHERAPTERYX.
