| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon represented by Proteides chiriquensis Mabille is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Hesperia osca Plötz, 1883 (Stett. ent. Ztg 44 : 48), which in turn is considered to represent a subspecies of the taxon represented by the nominal species Goniloba cubana Herrich-Schaeffer, 1865 (CorrespBl. zool.-min. Ver.
