Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Semuta was established in the Saturniidae; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 842. S. pristina is a junior subjective synonym of Naprepa pilosa Walker, 1865, ibidem 32: 489; and also of Panacela rufescens Walker, 1865, the type-species of Panacela Walker, 1865, in the Eupterotidae; Semuta Walker, 1865, is therefore here transferred to that family. See also: Panacela Walker, 1865, placed as a senior subjective synonym of Semuta Walker, 1865, by Kirby, 1892, ibidem 1: 842, the first reviser.
