| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Although Sphecodina was published in Blanchard's text in the synonymy of Thyreus Swainson, [1821], it was used as the generic name in the legend to plate 20 and was subsequently treated as an available name with its original date and authorship, thus fulfilling the criteria of availability defined in Article 11(d) of the Code. In the text the species name was misspelt * Abbotii; in the legend to plate 20 it was misspelt * Abotii. |
