Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) included STAGMATOPHORA in the family COSMOPTERIGIDAE. Hodges, in Kristensen (1999) included STAGMATOPHORA in the subfamily COSMOPTERIGINAE. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- When Stagmatophora was diagnosed again by Herrich-Schäffer, 1854, ibidem 5: 217, five nominal species were included in the genus.
