Memo: Nye (1975) and Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Stenopydna was originally placed in the Notodontidae, but was transferred to the Noctuidae by Kiriakoff, 1968, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 217 (C): 2. I am now transferring Stenopydna to the Pyralidae, Crambinae as a junior subjective synonym of Schoenobiodes Hampson, 1917, Novit. zool. 24: 57. Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Stenopydna was established in the Notodontidae; it was transferred to the Noctuidae by Kiriakoff, 1968, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 217 (C): 2; and to the Pyralidae Crambinae by Nye, 1975, Generic Names Moths World 1: 459.
