Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon represented by the nominal species Argynnis euryale Klug is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Anelia thirza Geyer, [1883 [sic, see below]] (in Hübner, Samml. exot. Schmett. 3 : pl. [6]). Cowan (1968: 14) stated:- SYNALPE, line 6: "1883" should read; 1833. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
