| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The name Tanyptera Mabille is invalid, as it is a junior homonym of Tanyptera Latreille, 1804 (Nouv. Dict. Hist. nat. 24 (Tab.) : 188) the name of a genus of Diptera. It has been replaced by the name Pteroteinon Watson, 1893. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). |
