Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- In the BMNH there is a short series of the type-species of Teleclita from Quuensland, reared by F.P. Dodd; two of the specimens are labelled `Notodonta dryinopa Lower' in Dodd's handwriting, one is labelled `Hoplitis cydista Turn' in Turner's handwriting. Teleclita cydista was placed in the genus Hoplitis Hübner, [1819], by Turner in 1922, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 47: 380. No reference has been found to the publication by Lower of the name Notodonta dryinopa, but a larva and a pupa were described under that name by Dodd, 1902, Entomologist 35: 42, 193. Dodd's description of the larva of Notodonta dryinopa and Turner's description of the similar larva of Teleclita cydista in 1903, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 28: 54, together with the evidence of the labelled moths, suggest strongly that the two are synonynous. Teleclita cydista Turner, 1903, is therefore here treated as a junior subjective synonym of Notodonta dryinopa Dodd (Lower MS), 1902,
