| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- This genus was originally proposed in the Drepanidae, but has since been placed in the Lymantriidae by Schaus, 1927, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 556. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980, Generic Names of Moths of the World) stated:- Tepilia was established in the Drepanulidae, now Drepanidae; it was placed in the Lymantriidae by Schaus, 1927, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 556. See also: Phecada Walker, 1856. Tepilia Walker, 1855 was treated in the Lymantriidae by Watson, Fletcher and Nye, 1980, 2 : 190. Tepilia has subsequently been transferred from the Lymantriidae to the Apatelodidae by Minet, 1986, Alexanor 14 (7) : 303. TEPILIA was included within the subfamily BOMBYCIDAE: PHIDITIINAE by Lemaire & Minet, in Kristensen (1999). |
