Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) and Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Teragra was established in the Notodontidae; Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1, placed it in the Notodontidae on page 614 and in the Zeuzeridae, now Cossidae, on page 865; it was placed in the Arbelidae, now Metarbelidae, by Hampson, 1910, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (8) 6: 117, 125. Fletcher & Nye (1982, Generic Names of Moths of the World) also stated:- Transferred it to the Arbelidae, now Metarbelidae, where it is currently placed. TERAGRA was included within the subfamily COSSIDAE: METARBELINAE by Gentili & Horak, in Kristensen (1999).
