Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- The name Termessa originated from Walker but was used and made nomenclaturally available by Newman prior to its proposal as a name for a new genus by Walker, 1856 [May 10], List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 7: 1689.
