Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- T. klenaea is a junior subjective synonym of Callimorpha selenaea Doubleday, 1845, in Eyre, Jls Expdns Disc. cent. Aust. 1: 437, pl.5, fig.3. Thalaina was originally proposed in the Arctiidae, but was transferred to the Geometridae by Meyrick, 1891, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. (2) 6: 652. See also: Absyrtes Walker, 1857. Parsons et al. (1999) included ABSYRTES Guenée, 1857; MACQUEENIA Turner, 1947; PLUSARGYRIA Herrich-Schäffer, 1855; and THALAINODES Lower, 1902 as junior synonyms of THALAINA Walker, 1855 [June 9]. Parsons et al. (1999) included 10 species and 4 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus THALAINA.
