| Memo: | Hemming (1967) stated:- The taxon represented by the nominal species Papilio bathyllus Smith is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Papilio daunus Cramer, [1777] (Uitl. Kapellen 2 (II) : 44, pl. 126, fig. F). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). See images at Butterflies of America where it is treated in the subfamily Eumatinae. | |
