Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Vaena was originally proposed in the Siculodidae (now Thyrididae), but was transferred to the Geometridae by Warren, 1909, Novit. zool. 16: 122. Parsons et al. (1999) included LYSOPTERYX Bryk, 1913 as a junior synonym of VAENA Walker, 1869. Parsons et al. (1999) included 3 species in the genus VAENA.
