Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Prout, 1915, ibidem 4: 396, noted that Staudinger's use of Atomorpha may have been due to an oversight, but like Alphéraky, he accepted it as the proposal of an objective replacement name for Atomophora Alphéraky, 1892. The date of publication of the part of Seitz containing page 396 is stated on page 393, in both the German and English editions, to be 9.ix.1915. Atomophora Alpheraky, 1892 is a preoccupied name replaced by Atomorpha Prout, 1915 nec Staudinger, 1901. Atomorpha Staudinger & Rebel, 1915, is also an incorrect subsequent spelling of Atomophora Alpheraky, 1892, and therefore is not available as a replacement name, Kocak, 1981, Priamus 1 (3) : 107. Parsons et al. (1999) included 4 species and 2 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus ATOMORPHA.
