Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- B. vernetella is a junior subjective synonym of Chimaera funebris Feisthamel, 1833, ibidem [1] 2: 259. Brachodes was established in the Phycidi, now Pyralidae, Phycitinae; it was placed in the Glyphipterigidae by Meyrick, 1913, in Wagner, Lepid. Cat. 13: 29; a separate subfamily, Glyphipterigidae, Brachodinae was established by Agenjo, 1966, Graellsia (Suppl.) Trigésimo Segunda Familia [unpaged]; Heppner, 1979, Ent. Ber., Amst. 39: 127, used Brachodidae as a separate family. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Brachodes was included in the "Glyphipterygidae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 34; a seperate subfamily, Glyphipterigidae Brachodinae, was established by Agenjo, 1966, Graellsia (Suppl.) Trigésimo Segunda Familia [unpaged]; Heppner, 1979, Ent. Ber., Amst. 39: 127, used Brachodidae as a seperate family.
