Memo: Fletcher (1979) and Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Carthaea was established in the Noctuidae; it was transferred to the Geometridae by Prout, 1910, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 104: 44; and transferred to the Carthaeidae by Common, 1966, J. ent. Soc. Qd 5: 29. CARTHAEA was included within the family CARTHAEIDAE by Lemaire & Minet, in Kristensen (1999).
