| Memo: | Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- A junior homonym of Chlidonia Lamouroux, 1824, Encyclopédie méthodique (Zoophytes): 192, - Protozoa. There is no objective replacement name but Bradley, 1972, in Kloet & Hincks, Handbks Ident. Br. Insects 11 (2): 39, has placed Chlidonia Hübner, as a junior synonym of Aethes Billberg, 1820; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name.
