Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) and Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- A junior homonym of Cycethra Bell, 1881, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1881: 96, - Echinoderma. There is no objective replacement name, but C. aroa is congeneric with Pseudodreata strigata Bethune-Baker, 1904, the type-species of Pseudodreata Bethune-Baker, 1904; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. Cycethra was established in the Lasiocampidae; it was transferred to the Lymantriidae by Joicey, Noakes & Talbot, 1915, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1915: 379. Swinhoe, 1922, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (9) 10: 451, placed Cycethra in the Lymantriidae, subfamily Anthelinae which had been raised to family level by Turner, 1920, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1919: 415.
