| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- Doa was included by Bryk, 1934, in Strand, Lepid. Cat. 62: 356, at the end of the Pterothysanidae, but was restored to the Arctiidae, in which family it was originally proposed, by Schaus, 1927, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 563, who placed it in the subfamily Pericopinae. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Doa was established in the Arctiidae; it was placed in the Liparidae, now Lymantriidae, by Dyar, [1903] 1902, Bull. U.S. natn. Mus. 52: 261; it was transferred to the Pericopidae, now Arctiidae Pericopinae, by Schaus, 1927, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 563; it was transferred to the Lymantriidae Pterothysaninae, now Pterothysanidae, by Bryk, 1934, in Strand, Lepid. Cat. 62: 356; but was retained in the Pericopidae, now Arctiidae Pericopinae, by McDunnough, 1938, Mem. sth. Calif. Acad. Sci. 1: 132. |
