| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- In establishing Dorisia, Möschler expressed doudts as to whether Cramer's figures of the male of verago published in 1777 and Stoll's figures of the female of verago published in 1780 were conspecific. The diagnosis of Dorisia was based on a female specimen from Surinam. The Cramer and Stoll references are dated from the wrappers of the parts, not from the title-pages of the volumes which are dated 1779 and 1782 respectively. See also: Zanola Walker, 1855. |
