Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Ecleora was originally proposed as a subgenus of Boarmia Treitschke, 1825. The part of Seitz containing page 472 appeared only in the German edition; on page 465 the date of its publication is stated to be 17.x.1941. Parsons et al. (1999) included 3 species in the genus ECLEORA.
