Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Guest probably obtained both the generic and specific names from Meyrick as an identification and unintentionally made them nomenclaturally available before Meyrick's generic and specific descriptions were published. Parsons et al. (1999) included EPICOMPSA Meyrick, 1892 as a junior synonym of EPICOMPSA Guest, 1887. Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus EPICOMPSA.
