Eric Robinson Collection of Ostracoda and Foraminifera

In 2006, Eric Robinson, formerly of University College London, donated his ostracod collection to the Natural History Museum. This collection contains slides of named taxa and assemblages from sites, mainly in the UK. The majority are ostracods but the collection does contain some Foraminifera and other miscellaneous materials picked from samples. The collections covers most of the stratigraphical column but is particularly strong in Carboniferous and Recent-Holocene with Pleistocene, Cretaceous and Jurassic particularly well represented. The collection was re-curated and ordered stratigraphically and subsequently by geographical location on arrival at the NHM. No slides have been registered individually and currently this file represents a listing of the collection. Some teaching material is present and this was supplemented by a cabinet of teaching slides that arrived with the rest of the UCL collection in 2017.
