Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Gephyristis was included in the "Lyonetiadae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 98; it was included in the Tineidae by Gozmany & Vari, 1973, Transv. Mus. Mem. 18: 71. Robinson (2001) included the type-species of GEPHYRISTIS Meyrick, 1909, anchiala Meyrick, 1909, in the genus AMPHIXYSTIS Meyrick, 1901.
