Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Hoplitis Klug, 1807, Magazin Insektenk. (Illiger) 6: 225, Insecta, Hymenoptera. There is no objective replacement name, but B. terrifica is a junior subjective synonym of Bombyx milhauseri Fabricius, 1775, the type-species of Harpyia Ochsenheimer, 1810; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. When Kirby designated as type-species Bombyx milhauseri Fabricius, 1775, a nominal species not originally included in Hoplitis, he also (on the same page) placed terrifica, a nominal species originally included in Hoplitis, as a junior subjective synonym of milhauseri. Under the Code, Article 69(a)(iv), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as the type-species.
