Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- A junior homonym of Makapta Schaus, 1904, - Lepid., Noctuidae. This generic name has used and unintentionally made nomenclaturally available by Schaus, himself, in 1904, prior to its proposal and description in 1906 for a genus having a different type-species. See: MACAPTA Hampson, 1910. Poole (1989) included MAKAPTA Schaus, 1906 (preoccupied) as a junior synonym of MACAPTA Hampson, 1910.
